I feel very fortunate to work for a school that supplies me with a Promethean board in the class. With this particular affordance, I will be able to structure interactive lessons with my students on a wide range of topics.
The interactive whiteboard technology, in particular the Promethean Board, will allow me to tailor my lessons based on my various students' specific needs. Because the Promethean Board has such a wide range of functionality, I can impliment several learning techniques at once, therefore broadening my lessons.
For example:
-annotating poems by the greats
-watching videos matching exerpts from some of our readings
-sharing student created projects
-teach how to use online resources
-have students lead lessons with easy use platform
My students, this semester, have the opportunity to purchase a Google Chromebook for a discounted rate. This tool will allow my students to use any technology they can find as they see fit.

Some of these apps that will be suggested for their investigation are:
-ComicBook!
-iThoughts HD
-Evernote
-Doink
-Literary Analysis Guide
-Shakespeare in Bits
-Shakespeare
-iTunes U
My students will also get to use a wide variety of different apps using the BYOD method. They will have the opportunity to discover what apps work for their individualized needs. Because I will be implementing the Vygotsky theory, I expect my students to compare and communicate with each other about what apps they enjoy and why.
